well, against all odds i found a male henkeli replacement for my loss a few weeks ago. he actually has a nicer pattern than the last one, but he's also a bit smaller. im glad i get to stick with the species. oh, and of course i just picked up a new species for myself today too....i got a pair of mossies! the male has a nice striped pattern, and the female is a normal moss pattern. they're in real good shape, but the male henkeli is gonna need a little hydrating (but hes already drinking a lot). i went in with little expectation and came out with a big grin on my face. i also got the opportunity to meet steven hoch (geckoholic) and talk some geckos with him. steven if you read this, sorry i lost you after i went to the atm! 2 of my buddies from school ended up coming down at 10 so i stuck around with them and talked to some of the people from the herp society. now hopefully these other species will start being as good to me as my satanics are!

the henkeli i got from carolina specialty pets from hendersonville, nc. the two mossies i got were from G&G rodent and supply somewhere out of florida. the two mossies are doing great, the male finished his shed and hes awesome. both of the mossies are eating, but i havent seen the male henk take anything down yet, although he has been drinking very well. and of course this was all at the sc reptile and exotic show, which was a first time this year having it in january and only a single day. not quite the turnout for the normal 2-day show, but hell, i left happy.

No problem Mike. After I picked up the uros I decided to go home and get them in their tanks as quickly as possible. I went back later with my girlfriend and couldn’t believe how packed the place was. Good turnout for a small show. Anyways, it was nice meeting you, lol I am sure we will meet up at the next show.

Good luck with those sikorae and the henkeli! Let me know if they lay eggs for you.

Take it easy,
Steve
