My wildlife center is in northern IL (15 miles from WI border) and features quite an extensive collection of venomous herps. If you are in the area, I'd be happy to give you a tour. Although I do know a number of magnificent herping spots in IL and WI but they are kept under very tight security and confidentiality, so I, sorry to say, can't divulge that info. But, I can probably stear you into some directions that are fairly well known amongst field herpers (unfortunately, due to poor field herping etiquette, some of these places are pretty much devoid of any types of herps). Good luck.

>>Hey, I ask in this forum because everyone I am familiar with and respect posts here.
>>I am traveling from Alberta, Canada to "visit" the wife's family in central wisconsin in June. I say visit because that's the excuse for the trip, but I'll be herp'n all the way.
>>My question is if anyone knows of some good herp collections, zoo's ect that are in North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and maybe northern Illinios if I can convince the wife. Also if anybody knows of some good spots to see the native herpetofauna I'd be greatly appreciative.
>>Thanks hugely
