Tristis Setup(Pics.)

Uas Jan 31, 2005 01:30 PM

thought I´d post a pic of my tristis setup.
It hold 1 adult pair of t. orientalis

I have had luck with my adult pair in a desert tank setup before, but now I want to try smething new, as the tristis compleks is also treedwellers. I have 2 egglaying boxes in the forest setup. One buried under the sand/mulch botten, which has sand/mulch as laying material and a temp. of 27 degrees. The other box is placed on a log, it has decaying wood/mulch/vermeculite and leaves as laying material and holds a temp. of 28degrees. Hopefully this setup will also work for me.

the desert tanks holds 2 juvi female t. orientalis.

and a pic of one of my juvis.

ENJOY!

regards
Rasmus

Hey I like your setups they look pretty good. When I used to keep tristis, I used a setup similar to your desert setup. If I was to keep them now I'd probably use a setup something more like your forest setup.

I have a few questions. What is the deal with the plant pots on the lights? Is that corkboard on the walls? Where did you get it? Do they like to climb on it?
Thanks,
Neal

Hi.

Yes the sides are plated with 20mm corkbark. Gives the monitors much more room for activation.

The pots are for protecting the monitors from the electricals.
