Hi there:
They are shipping me the snakes tomorrow. The southern ringneck is really exciting. It sounds like a younger one. I have a tank waiting for when it arrives the day after tomorrow. This is it:
enclosure: large transluscent Rubbermaid shoe box with tight-fitting lid
substrate: Very slightly moistened reptile jungle mix
water: a shallow round reptile water dish
cage furnitue: some nice twigs, a small rock for shedding
other: The ringneck also has a "steam room". It is a plastic tupperware container that covers about 1/3 of the setup. It is entirely enclosed, but has a small hole at about ground level where the snake can enter. It is stuffed with warm, moist moss.
Should I add a piece of bark or an extra hide or something?
P.S. Yes, the setup does have proper ventilation.
THANKS!
