Good news all, I have my first little guy/gal pipping. It's a little early (like ten days early, or 50 days after being laid), but that's ok by me. Last year most of my eggs hatched around 55 days or so.

First of all congrats! That is early. When some of them are deformed I think you incubated them too hot. Normally I prefer incubating on lower temps which results in lentgh of 60 - 70 days. The hathclings take longer to grow but become big and healthy. The ones that I incubated on warm temps and wich hatched that quick where mostly weak and stubborn feeders. I would love to see some pics of your hatchlings.

My temps have been good. Usually between 82 and 84 degrees F. With lows of 81 degrees F. and highest temp. I witnessed has been 85.9 degrees F. Last year My incubator averaged around 85 to 86 degrees, with no ill effects. I checked this morning and only two eggs have pipped, well, the little ones were not peeking out, but there are slits in the tops of the eggs.

Here are two of my '02 hatchling that hatch the weekend before the 4th of July last year.
Anery male is about 35" long.

Normal female is about 37" long.

I haven't measured mine in length, but all are eating adult mice once a week.
Are yours as well?

...and I think to myself, "What a wonderful world."
My 2001 cornsnake is just now getting to be about 36 inches long.
I can't believe how big some of you get your snakes to grow in such a short amount of time.
My 2002's are just now eating fuzzies and my 2001 is just now eating weaned mice. But, I like to grow mine slow, as I think it is healthier for them. (Not saying your's aren't healthy though.)

Mine too! I have an 02 just taking fuzzys now and my 01s are on the same...small mice. Except my early 01 everglades rat...he is on adult mice or 40grm rat pups. But he is a monster size wise.
