Update on Houston the lizard that was knocking on death's door.

He's doing so much better. He's still skinny as can be but his color is better, he just shed and he's eating crickets on his own. He was just licking them and not eating them.

I don't know if it was the right thing to do or not but he's still alive because of it. DS force fed him every day for a couple of weeks. First it was dog food then he started feeding him crickets by opening his mouth and putting them in.

DS threw a cricket into the cage one night. The next day I stopped to look at Houston and his legs were spread out behind him and he wasn't moving. I though he broke his back or something. Suddenly he jump and grabbed the cricket, I shouted and everyone came running. We all did the happy dance! Since then he has shed and is still eating on his own. We're hoping that he'll soon gain weight. His poop looks great including the poop with the white in it.

Thanks again to everyone that posted help for us!!!

yay! i was just thinking about you all the other day and i am glad to hear that he is doing better. shedding is usually a good sign. it might take a while to build up his fat but it sounds like he is well on his way to a full recovery!
