AFT question!!!

Brxa Jan 31, 2005 11:08 PM

I might be just paranoid, but I've noticed something on my fat-tail tonite.

He has has a pair of these things on his upper lip. On both sides aproximately under the eye. It looks like a tiny bubble that has burst. I don't believe that was there before, but am not sure. Has anyone else seen anything else like this?

He seems healthy, and has been active. The temps and humidity are OK. He's male, 8 inches, a year old.

I tried to open his mouth , but he kinda strugled and I didn't want to stress him out. The little I could see it looked pink, and didn't look wierd.

I hope it is not mouth rot or something.

Please reply. Thanks.

I don't think it's mouth rot. That's been described as looking like cottage cheese, or withered up dead skin, and it's usually found inside on the roof of the mouth. As to what it is, I haven't got a clue. Is he still eating normally? Is it interfering with anything else? If you had a pic it might help. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Yeah, he has been to his normal behavior, eating, sleeping and pooping.

It kinda looks like a cold sore. I'll try to make some pictures or something. And I'll prolly take him on thursday to the store where I got him so the owner can check him out.

Well, I was at the store and they said there is no infection, and it is possible that he hurt himself biting onto something. I dont know what he could have bitten aside from the side of his hide and paper towels (paper cut!?).

The dude recomended to me that I put some neosporin creame on it, and I did and it's healing so it looks ok.
