i have suris with better markings than her and more extremes in color but something about her that pulls me in .. shes my fave snake in my collection for some reason.. she came in as an import 4 years ago and was full of parasites , internal and external !! half of her face was ripped to shreds, who knows how ! and when we got her in she got treated , cured and instead of gettin rid of her, she was kept since i had invested so much time in her and when in her light phaze looked incredible as a juvenile except her scarred full face . i got out of herping for awhile when going thru personal problems and she was given to a friend that took great care of her as a pet .. later on a few years later my son asked me for a pet snake and i bought him a tiny little colombian boa last year for christmas ..and while lookin thru some ads on here i ran into barry millers website and saw all those pics of the surinams he had and was back in in a matter of weeks
mind you this female i hadent seen in over 2 years tho .. and when i went to my buddies house in naples there she still was.. 4 feet longer than she was about 2 1/2 years ago and a hell of alot fatter.. he was gonna move into an apt and told me it would be easier without her and if i wanted her back.. i didnt even think twice and gave him some money for taking so good care of her .. she is now around 7 1/2 feet and is tipping the scales at 30 lbs today and her colors are still as bright and her tail is just as incredible as it was when she was 3 feet long .unfortunately tho so are the bad scars she has on her face .. but what im lookin frwd to is what she might be able to produce for me bred to the right males !! ok ok ill shut up now.. i just love this girl

you can see the scars so well in this picture .. going thru what shes gone thru and is still very docile and is an eating machine .. hope you guys liked .. cause i love her to death

Koki,great story.I think she's killer also.I think she is so awesome that I saved her pics in a album that I keep of the best boa's I see on the net.Hope you don't mind.I rescued my 7 ft suri also.She was in bad shape and turned around real nice.Thanks for sharing.
