This is one of my Buckskin leonis phase thayeri with a cool black face and nice nuchal marking.
I think that this one is nice even though it is not bright orange or yellow or no reduced black. What do you guys think?

Wow John I think that one is stunning and I've never seen one ugly in your collection.............these thayeri's have me spinning and someday in the future I will have to get a couple of racks and dedicate them to this ssp.
I visit, check, and read alot of forums and I know I'm not being biased when I say the best and most beautiful pics on the web in any forum are being posted here.

Just goes to show you how beautiful and variant these Mexicana can be. I love the morphs in Getula and I too breed them, but I anticipate my Thayeri, Mexmex and Alterna offspring every year. Next year I am adding Ruthveni and Greeri to my list of breeding so it looks like even more lost sleep and grey hair. LOL
Thanks Chris,

John, I like it. I don't care for the reduced black much. I'm glad there's some with good black markings. Please post some more pics of that morph, including a head shot, if you please

Head shot of bucksking Thayeri. I really like his nuchal marking and black face.

Something about that snake could be the great constrast of the buckskin, it's just really appealing to me very nice one John and I have to say I agree with Terry that I'm not a big fan of reduced black either. However, with the varitiabliliy of the mexicana ssp there's something for everyone.

John, I agree..very nice. There's something that attracts me to the black markings on snakes. Did you ever notice that there's an occuring theme with the majority of your collection? I tend to have a lot of snakes with a grayish ground color and reddish-brown blotches, and snakes with largish black borders on the blotches, etc. Anyway, I like that snake a lot. I hope there are more like that. Good job!

Terry
