Has anyone Crossed a BCI or BCC with a Dumerils???

DavidKendrick Feb 01, 2005 06:21 PM

Not that I agree with doing so, I was just curious, I see lots of people crossing Green Tree Pythons with Jungle Carpets, and There is the Burmese Python crossed with a Retic python, I was curious if someone has or could breed a Dumerils to a BCC or BCI?? I wonder if its even possible? I know I am going to hear it for this post? LOL

I've heard of a couple different people trying without success.

I would have to say if it could be done, it would have been done by now. Due to the relative low value of Dumerils, plenty of idiots have most definately tried to get them to mate in an attempt to create a new boa. I'm actually pretty surprised that taxonomist lumped Dumerils and MGB into the Boa genus. Even though they are morpologically somewhat similar, they are quite different in terms of old world vs new world. Might as well put Rainbows and Anacondas in the same genus too!!! LOL.
