need help with parasite question...

joijoi29 Feb 01, 2005 08:08 PM

My smallest dragon, Dezi, is showing possible signs of parasites. She has been pretty dark lately and her stools are a bit "cow patty-like". (only way I could describe it!) She is eating pretty regularly (for her b/c she has always been a little picky). Yes...I know i need to get a fecal to the vet, which shouldn't be a problem b/c I work for one. BUT...I'm having a difficult time with that because she won't go at a time I can get it fresh...when I get home it is always a little dried and of course I can't take one in to the office till the next morning. :P She is soo not working with me here! But my question is... I have seen on here were people are recommending "parazap" (?) before using Albon, ect. My doctors do not usually treat reptiles, however, they have treated by sulcata and would of do their best of course to research thier books on treatment for parasites for Dezi. Is parazap easier on them? If so where can I get it?

TIA

Marilee

Parazap will definately reduce the parasites ifnot rid her of them for good. You can get it at most pet stores or online and in fact I think that Tracey at beardiecrazy.com sales it from her website if no pet stores have it where your at. Just follow the directions on the box for the t ea and give it for a week....
