I witnessed this on Jan 26th or 27th. My pair has been breeding off and on since Sept, and since then, neither one has wanted to eat a thing. As you can see by the pics, she looks like she's recently eaten a decent rabbit or something. A day or two after this, when she again looked normal, I offered her a rat. I'd heard that a female python's appetite picks up immediately after ovulation and lasts for a little bit into the process of becoming fully gravid, and she seemed to be showing signs of it as she took a swing at my hand when I made the 'mistake' of touching her like normal. So I offered the rat, and bam, she took it. A few days later, I offered two more, and she ate both. So I guess I'm going to continue to offer prey items, though not that frequently, until she stops feeding or until I notice her swelling so much that I think it'll be a risk to her health. If anyone has any other suggestions though, I'm all eyes. I figure she's just wanting those last minute nutrients before the drain of egg production. Anyway, enjoy the photos! I look forward to any and all responces and/or advice. This will be my first python breeding.

By the way, the white stuff is urates from the male who was recently with her. He tends to get a bit overexcited it seems.
Close-up, notice the stretched scales. Oh, and you gotta love that multispectral coloration
