Has ne one had good results with the Aquarium and tank heater method for incubation??? I was using this method with one of those critter keepers with the vented lid but the water vapour is escaping and i need to keep filling it back up with is a pain. So i was thinking of getting a little aquarium with a plastic/sealed lid. Just wanted to know of its worth it or shall i just get a hovabator??? One prob there tho is that none of the rooms in my house have a constant temp Thanks for any input Gilbery007

it has worked for some people..a hovabator hooked up to a thermostat would be better though, the room my hovobator is in doesnt really keep a constant temp either and it has only dropped -1 degrees

good luck

Hi,
I have used an aquarium heater in a tall enough glass, in a styrofoam cooler, and have hatched healthy babies. It worked great. Last year was also the first year I have bred them, ever, so i was pretty proud that my little homemade one worked and hatched some babies. I got the link for instructions here on kingsnake. the site is http://kingsnake.ca/incubator/. Hope this helps ya a little.

Yes thankyou i think i will get a hovabator and try it without a thermostat first see how it goes. The thermostats over here are fairly dear for the Pulse Proportional ones (I think they are best and what is needed IF i need one) so im trying to steer clear of that. I had one set up but its a pain in the backside keep refilling it every day and saran rap would be a pain too.I want something of ease that almost guarantees a hatch rate!Thankyou once again Guys/Gals.Gilbery007
