looking for paper bedding product..

patoquack Feb 02, 2005 01:02 PM

I saw an advertisement through Kingsnake that I can't locate now.. it was for a paper bedding product - they sold precut sheets or bulk rolls.

any help in directing me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Patrick

They advertise different rolls/sheets for each different cage.. so the ad may look like this...

Boaphile 421D Disposable Liners!

OR

Disposable Liners for your Racks and Fish Tanks

or something to that effect...

but they usually have several ads out at a time.

I'm sure you can find their site on Google or other...

Joe,
Between this picture and one you posted earlier I realized you bought the group 2.2 of 66% het blood boa. Is this the one that is unknown to be a hypo or not.
I hope yours prove out for you, and mine do as well. I still can't get over my female.

bcijoe Feb 02, 2005 06:28 PM

This is the 'normal' male poss het... lol

Below is the poss hypo.. here's a dark one, and it's a bad pic, but you can still make out a bit here and there..

best wishes on yours!

I love the stripeing the bloods and siblings have from this line, mine don't however.
I see a lot of red comeing in the side of that one. Good luck with them. Here is my male, nothing special.

There is a company that sells rolls of corrugated cardboard, very similar to the stuff used by Rich Ilhe in the boa video, and its lots cheaper that by actual cage liners. E-mail me if you would like to know more.

Thanks,
I'd be interested in getting more information..
I lost my supply of newspapers from our local newspaper publisher so I am looking for new options.

I'd appreciate whatever info you can send.

thanks,
Patrick

Try www.Uline.com. Thats were I get my indented kraft paper, which is the same thing as the DCL's. Its pretty cheap and works great. Its all I use now.

Sometimes they'll sell rolls of plain paper. I've done it. It's awesome, newspaper with no print!

patoquack Feb 03, 2005 10:56 AM

I'll give this a try, thanks for the suggestion.. last time I tried to pick up old newspapers from the place that prints our newspapers, they offered to sell me a roll of paper, but it was slightly different quality from normal "newspaper".. I'll check with them again.

I've switched to aspen for some of my boas, but I just can't feel perfectly safe with feeding them on it - even if I place paper on the aspen.. some of my boas attack their food and end up dragging it back to their corner and off the paper.
