Can anyone give me a good web site on info on breeding rats?

I didn't have much luck with posting on the feeder form. I am also looking for some cage plans using tubs. If anyone could help me out that would be great. Thanks

There are a few good books available. A book I use is "The Proper Care of Fancy Rats" by Nick Mays (on Amazon.com for $1.99 used). This will give you great information on proper housing, nutrition, breeding, and some first aide. If you are interested in doing a lot of breeding I am sure someone on this site can let you know about rack systems for housing. I don't like it myself just because we have more pet rats then ones for food. I like to be able to see them and interact with them when I am in the room. We don't have enough litters to develop that type of system anyway. I have been told it is one of the easiest and most efficient systems if you do a lot of breeding; however, I have never used it.

Good Luck

Susan
