advice on keeping glass tanks humid?

royalserpent85 Feb 02, 2005 09:19 PM

hi all, I keep my anaconda in a glass tank so it's sometimes hard to keep it humid insidwe the cage. Usually I put a t-shirt over most of teh top to hold in the moisture and it seems to work pretty well, but I was wondering if there was any other methods you guys might know of for keeping glass cages humid? and also, is this a good method? any help would be appreciated

I believe this advice was given by DFR a while back on the same post. I tried it and it's been working well, much better then a screen top at least. Get a large trash bag and cut it accordingly to the size of the screen top, tape it on firmly so that there arent many gaps for air to get out, only leaving space for your light, if one is used. Not too sure of anything else that would work well, cept buying a whole new top.

I lay a piece of plexiglass over the top.

what i do is i cover half the cage with a damp but make sure it's clean wash cloth and then cover 74% of the cage with plastic and the other 25 with a lamp and it seems to work very good for me
