i guess this isn't cham related but i just wondered if any one had some info on it.

i want to combine them to make one tall 60 gallon tank bye taking out the bottom of two of the and putting them ontp of each other.

I know stuff like this has been done but i need more info on it.

I wonder if someone on a poison dart frog forum or possibly a tree boa forum might have some ideas for you?

It would probably be cheaper to buy a sixty gallon

no i got three 20 gallon long tanks for free so i figure if i destroy one or two tring this it isn't a big loss.

i work at a pet store and they are ones i have gotton out of the trash (the top plastic is broken not the glass) and i have used two of them for about 3 months as normal aquariums....the other is outsid efull of water testing leakage although it wont be used for water.

i found a 90 gallon tall with a door in the side wich is perfect....its at our store....but it isn;t for sale yet and once it does i will buy it unless this idea i have works out.

I have seen this done and I can't recall where. I think when I got my first tranatula (which was arboreal, not burrower) I was thinking of doing the same thing. Carlton's suggestion to check with dart frog folks might be a good try. They often rig up false bottom tanks and I think that's what gave me the idea in the first place. Check out their forum and see if anyone has done it.

If it is not going to hold water you could just get a glass cutter to remove the bottom panels of two and then secure them together with clips and epoxy. If you don't want to take out the glass yourself you might be able to get a glass company to do it cheap, but it shouldn't be hard. Then you can file/sand down the edges and make sure all the glass is removed. To be on the safe side you could put a bead of aquarium sealant along the inside edges (where glass was).

I don't know...I'm just thinking aloud! LOL!!
