Finally! Poor Beatrice has been very gravid for a while, but just would not lay. I switched her lay box (and Pepper's) from vermiculite (which she used last year w/o fuss) over to eco-earth today at 4 or 5 o'clock. She went right in and starts digging everything up, trying to fit 20 long gallons of substrate into her little rubbermaid. Anyway, come 10 pm, my first pair of eggs this year is resting safely in my homemade incubator! YEAH!
One ? though, 'cause I did this part wrong last year. I am using a closed container which is listed at 90% humidity, but no condensation. how long @ 86 deg before I can open the container to check and candle those beauties!
