Leonardo and Pothos plant

Flavia Guimaraes Feb 02, 2005 10:25 PM

Im a little bit worried with Leonardo.Although Rafael eats everything i put in his food bowl, Leonardo prefers Pothos. If i dont give him Pothos he fasts!Well, once in a while to make me happy he eats a few leaves of collards or mustard green but only once in a while. The problem is Rafael, who eats better and more varied food, is becoming fatter than Leonardo.Shoul i worry about Leonardo food preference?

How long have you let him fast? You may just not be letting him get hungry enough.

If you want to switch him over gradually to salad greens you could start serving him his pothos leaves in a bowl instead of on a plant, and each week add more greens and offer less pothos. It's the same process you'd use to switch a dog over to new food.

Last week he didnt eat anything i offered him for 4 or 5 days. Then i gave up and offered him pothos that he ate like crazy.

How's your girl doing?

I would try mixing the pothos with other food then and doing a gradual change over.

My girl is still in the hospital. She hasn't pooped yet and we know she's full of it! But she is eating. Hopefully she'll come home sometime this weekend.
