Here is an old photo of one of my western hogs eating. If you look close, you can see a fang. If I recall, someone posted a similar (but better quality) pic a while ago on this forum, so be sure to check that out.

I hope this helps,
Jim

if i catch one does that count as my first venomous snakes catch.

i wana see a timber or copper head but dont think i ever will but you never know( but i think it will be a little hard for a 15 yr old boy)

thank again tom

You can treat the catch any way you like, there just isn't a need to handle it like a serious venomous snake. Here is some forewarning: people have been "bitten" by hogs while trying to restrain them during the death feign, where they typically have their mouths open. Wait a while and get more experience before handling hots, hopefully you'll be happy for now just observing.

ijust want to see one, in the wild when i have my camra to take some really great pics, but the only way i would i would touch them is with a 52 inch tong and a 36 inch hook. if i see one under like a rock camra come out but if i see one like right where im walking take some pic then find a nice big rock or like a rock den when i can place her under.

thanks for you help

just FYI, the hogs you're going to see in NY (I'm assuming that's where you're looking because that's where you have asked about in all the other forums) will probably be pretty close to solid black. Go to www.enature.com and look at the morph for that area.
