Baby bird food

Sarah_boo977 Feb 03, 2005 03:36 PM

I was just wondering if Tropican baby bird hand-feeding formula can be used to help add nutrition to ig who's had a very low appetite recently. She's been picking out her favorite foods, and leaving the rest. I already suppliment her food with calcium, but I'm worried about other deficiencies. Any comments would be useful. Thanks in advance.

What's in baby bird food formula? If it has the same ingredients that iggy's need, I don't see it being a problem.

Check the ingredients and make sure there is no animal protein. Chicks need protein, and I'm pretty sure it is included in the ingredients in most handfeeding formulas...

I don't know about the Tropican, though. All we have here is Exact and Zupreem... but I would definitely check against protein.
