Iguana Rescue

jmartin104 Feb 03, 2005 04:20 PM

I am temporarily housing a 2 1/2FT iguana. It was just abandoned. I'm a python guy and not an "iggy" guy. He looks to be undernourished with a rubbed nose. It also appears that he's missing most of his claws. He seems tame enough so far - no biting. I'm looking for a GOOD home or experienced foster parent in the Central FL area.

Thanks!

Can you tell me the city you're in?

Port St. John, FL. Just south of Titusville and north of Rockledge.

I just found one out there too. A beautiful, tame, 3 footer. WEIRD!

This one is fairly tame - no hissing, no tail whipping and no attempt to bite. But his health is not the best. He or she may be too weak to do any of that. Its eating though so that's a good sign.

My GF lives in the Keystone Heights area, is that anywhere near there? We have an Iguana already and she wants to get another one, for her. She loves reps almost as much as I do. If that's anywhere near you I can talk to her about it and see what we can do.

It's about 3 - 3 1/2 hours away.
