Emerald Tree's, a few questions

bigcountry1 Feb 03, 2005 04:57 PM

I have found a smokin' deal on some c.b. emerald tree's.

So now i have a few questions, i have searched, and these don't seem to be 'to hard' to keep. I keep my herp room at about the right temps.

But i was wondering if i could house a pair together? if so, what size enclosure do i need to have to house these bad boys?

thanks

It's not a good idea. For a more detailed explanation scroll down to the topics "Are baby ETBs canibals" and "Can you house baby ETBs together" (don't think I got topic names totally right) from Jan 20th and check out Urban Jungle's and CraigC's replies. The answers hold true for adults, juvies, and neos alike.

I don't own an arboreal of any kind yet, but speaking from experience with other snakes....

I don't ever buy 2 of a species I haven't had before at the same time anyway. If there is a medical problem I don't know about, or I somehow screwup horribly(hasn't happened yey just speaking of my caution) I would lose 2 snakes and all the investment that entails.

I would just get one, learn what there is to learn and tweak(concerning that specific species) and then add a second later.

IMHO Goodluck
