Question for bob

I am getting my quarentine enclosure ready, and I was wondering if the thickness of acrylic matters, I was thinking 1/4 inch.

Also I wanted to say I am thrilled to see a site that is devoted to tree monitors, great work.

Hi there Jimmy,

If you are constructing a quarantine enclosure similar to the ones that I've been using, where the acrylic is for the top of a tub/garbage can, yes, 1/4" is fine, that's what I use, as it is rigid enough where it doesn't bow. I actually use 1/4 acrylic for the doors of my enclosures- no framework or anything; the hinges are mounted directly to the acryclic, and for a 24"x48" door, I do not see any signs of warping/contorting...

Thanks for the kind words on the site.. I am trying to compile as much info as possible; although it can by trying at times, working around my schedule and all.. Take care, have a wonderful day.
