Modified Crested Gecko Cage...

uf_g8or Feb 03, 2005 07:21 PM

Here's a new home for my crested geckos. Just a simple 55 gallon aquarium (I know I need a bigger stand) with an expansion/modified top made from 1x2s, 1x3s, plexiglass, screen and some pegboard. (and yes the top is straight, not bowed...just a bad angle with the camera) Added some gravel for drainage, top soil, humus, and peat moss along with some rubber plants, a snake plant and some coco hides and a few rocks. Very inexpensive and easy to build. They seem to love it. Sorry the pics aren't the best. Enjoy

looks great, but isnt it pain to reach the furthest corners to clean or whatever?
how many crested do you have in there?

uf_g8or Feb 09, 2005 02:50 PM

Thanks for all the compliments.

Actually, it's not nearly as big of a pain as I thought it might be. I can easily reach all corners...plus the entire top easily lifts off for even better access.

Currently, there are 1.1 in there and hopefully another female or two soon to join.

Thanks
