Asian Browns - Breeding Emys Emys in northern states

jbly Feb 03, 2005 10:10 PM

Have there been any successful breeding/offspring of Emys in northern states? I've heard of success in FL and GA but never up north where it snows. I've heard that they nest during warm summer months but considering their tropic homerange, unique nesting characteristics, and lack of success in norther states I wonder if they have additional special requirements?

Ya - Raising torts on the tundra is far from natural but a lot of us have had success.

I have a small group of Asian Browns that I hope to breed someday. Just looking for pointers.
