I have a problem with my Goini this season. I have 2 males and one female. The problem is which should I use male 1 or 2. Male one is a striped male that is a year younger than the female and last year she was not in the mood to breed with him cuz at 18 months she thought he was a little small. She tried to eat him instead. He was around 30" and she was around 40". This year he caught up some and is around 40" and she is close to 4'. The queastion is after the first breeding attempt he was scared of her all last season and I soon gave up trying. Will he still be scared this season??
Because of my problem last year I tried to get a male breeder for last year and when I finally found one it was too late in the year. I still picked him up and have him. He is a patternless goini that is also around 40". I sold him to a friend and got him back in the meantime and when I got him back he was thin. I know Goini put on weight quick so this should not be a problem but he is scared of the female as well.
I have probed all snakes involved and am as sure as I can be that I have a 2.1 group. I also think that this year I should have no problem with which ever male I choose provided that they are introduced at the right time. I just don't know which one to use. So I thought I would let the forum decide. And I don't want to use both males because I don't want mix genetics. The female is a reverse stripe and I just don't know what I may get with the stripped male over the patternless male. So any thoughts will be enjoyed and they might be helpful as well. Fire away boys.
Thanks Jason
