Keeping an iguana outside

Does anyone keep their iggy outside? I live in central FL and I'm thinking about keeping one outside until he finds a new home. Obviously, I need to ensure his temps are appropriate.

The only problem with keeping him outside in a cage would be the temperature issues with the enclosure getting too hot or not hot enough. I would also take into consideration any other animals outside, like dogs and cats.
