This one has dots...

ajfreptiles Feb 04, 2005 11:02 AM

Does anyone know anything about these dots?? The mother has these too, and some of the babies also. I have seen others who posted this type and cannot remember who it was. Do they mean anything? Andy

I do not know if they mean anything, but they add character. My hypo used to have them, they are fadeing. And my Poss Blood Hets have them. May be a trait from C.A. ancestry.

Hey Chris, thanks for the reply, but the father which is a Rich Ihle Salmon, does not have them. The mother who is a psatel does have them. They never faded on the mom, but she passed them on to half the litter. Thanks Andy

They mean you have one sweet looking snake! The whole litter looks great. Very clean. Congratulations.

They're morse code for "I am cool looking"! Actually, 2 dots is the letter I - there's your useless fact for the day - lol!

They are chromosome markings, nothing more and nothing less. Most boas have them. Sometimes they appear as dots and other times they appear as finger smudges between the saddles. Extremely typical in most boas, B.C.I. and B.C.C.......Good Luck and GOD BLESS......Johnson Herp

Those dots mean 'send her to me'! I love that one. I'd love to have him/her in my collection as my first morph!!!
Congrats on the litter,
Eric

what you mean.. why are these spots refered to as "chromosome" markings??

Chromosomes are little thing inside cells.. actually they are inside the neucleus which is inside the cell. so I don't understand...
