Those colorful giants?

AlteredMind99 Feb 04, 2005 02:13 PM

So I was looking at some websites of Beardie morphs, and was looking again at the German Giants. I started thinking, and now have to ask. Is anyone working on breeding German Giants with superior colors? Will we at some point see a Sandfire German Giant? Or Leucistic German Giant?

Well Dachiu has been crossing Sandfires and Chris allen's stock into the German giant line and they produced some niced colored German Reds this year. But if it has alot of color and it is a German Giant then it is not a pure German Giant. As far as the Leucistics go the answer to your question is yes Kevin at Dragons Den has already crossed his Leucistic line to his German Giants and it really added hardiness to the line.

I purchased my guy from Dachius...one of his parents was an orange german giant, so they do have them...they were very helpful, etc...I've heard thjat german giants are typically 24-30 inches...the care sheet I received from Dachius states that with luck your beardie can be 9inches at 2 months...mine was 11inches at 2months and 1 week old...hope that's the german giant line kicking in...
