Is Plastic really Fantastic?

sw0rdf15h Feb 04, 2005 08:09 PM

Ok so making the switch back to Eco Earth, I've found I only had enough to be maybe 2 millimeters deep if even. Obviously I will get more, but for now I've put some old plastic aquarium plants my fish used to use. This "substrate" is now deep enough for them to feel safe, yet thin enough for total observation! I was wondering if the plastic would be in anyway harmful? It's a thin fern kind of thing, feels soft to my touch, but still it is plastic.

Well, harmfull I'm not sure, but they may be if swallowed. I used to have a plant in my pacman-tank and it got dug up so now I just use soil. Not the most appealing setup, but works the best for me.
