Ole girl gone swimming again!!

a2zgraphix Jul 06, 2003 04:27 PM

My female ball that I recieved a few weeks ago spends a good part of her time submerged in her water bowl. I have checked for mites and she seems clean and parasite free. I believe she is about to shed and was wondering if this might be the cause of her extended "soaking" sessions.

What temp is the cage? Maybe she is trying to cool off.

I have a real shy one that I think is using the water bowl as a hide when she gets stressed. I normally don't use hides in my rack system (which is fairly secure already) but I'm thinking of trying one with her to see if I can get her eating rats again.

1) Mites.
2) Dehydrated to begin with.
3) Lack of an adequate hide box at a suitable temperature.
4) Lack of suitable temperatures (usually too hot).
