Viv is set up...any other suggestions?

TrpnBils Feb 05, 2005 01:33 AM

Since I still have 2 weeks before my snake comes home with me, I set up the viv tonight to get temperature and humidity issues looked at while I still have time to make adjustments without hurting anyone. I have the heat mat on a ceramic tile underneath, and the tank itself is propped up about half an inch or so. So am I missing anything here? I do want to get one more hide on the cool side (the left). That bright piece of aquarium "furniture" is just there as a place holder so I could see how crowded it'll be. The two thermometers in the front aren't going to stay there, and the hygrometer is in the back.

I just set the heater up tonight, but over the last few days, temps have stayed pretty much around 76 (again, without any kind of heat source) and humidity around 50% but there's no water in the bowl yet either so it could go up.

My roommate just moved out today so it's been busy around here. Once I get everything back to normal I'm going to start messing around with the everything to see how the temps/humidity act.

Anything I should add, change, or take out?

That is because the picture is on your computer and you have an account or membership or whatever you want to call it over on the other forum where they photo is.

I would add a background to give it a more natural look and maybe try to take advantage of all that height. Maybe add a shelf about half way up one side or a taller branch. Although corns aren't extremely active especialy during the day they will still climb on occaision and it will also help balance out the look of the aquarium.
just a couple of thoughts.
