NEW BURM MORPHS ON THE CLASSIFIEDS??

DavidKendrick Feb 05, 2005 01:01 PM

I have had burmese pythons before, and was wondering if anyone else had seen the new morphs for sale on the KS classifieds? I was wondering where these seller gets these morphs from? he has offered 4-5 different morphs over the past few months, do they all come from the wild? cause all of them are 6 feet long. Its truely amazing some of them. Just curious what other people thought.

If its the ads i'm thinking of i think they are hybrids

DavidKendrick Feb 05, 2005 06:41 PM

The adds I am talking about are for the T positive Albino Burms and the Snow Burms, They also had a while back a Spyder Burm for sale. I was curious where they came from? Wild or out of Captive breeding?

Great, I have seen the same Company I am not saying who, cause I don't know if its alright to do so, but the same company has offered at least 4-5 burm morphs over tha last few months, I havn't heard very much about the morphs, I was just wondering if they where found in the wild? and if they have been in captivity why hasn't there been any word that there are new morphs? Or I might just be out of the loop? I thought what they where selling would be big news, they have some crazy morphs. Thanks for checking can't wait to hear more about them. If you know them they should post some pics here rouse up some interest.

retic crossed.
at least the one i saw might have been..it was called a silver sided burm...

DavidKendrick Feb 05, 2005 10:15 PM

I did see that one, I tried to find it again but the add was gone. I didnt think Retic when I saw the pic, Wish I could see the add again. I hope someone can get the owner to post where they came from, maybe some more info.

The reason they aren't big news yet is because they are WC imports (from waht I know so far) and no one knows if its genetic or not.

Is this the "silver sided" burm you are talking about?

Bob Clark originally had some of those and I believe they proved non genetic which is why he sold them

toddbecker Feb 06, 2005 03:50 PM

that on looks a lot like the fader burms that have not been proven out. I am not saying for sure it is but it sure looks a lot like the ones i have seen. Todd

toddbecker Feb 06, 2005 03:49 PM

that is definitely not a retic/burm hybrid...they have been produced sporatically for many years and the accepted name is bateater or borneo bateater. if someone was representing a bateater as a new morph then they are unscrupulous but the pic in the above post is definitely not a retic burmor a burm rock or a burm indian hybrid. Strange that these morphs appear out of nowhere especially when there was a big scandal involving a very similar group of burms a few years ago.

I am not familuar with what happened, I just keep seeing this one company offering larger burm morphs that I have never seen before, like the T positive albinos, snows and a few others. They are all larger burms, and I was wondering if they where finding them in the wild or where they some freak thing of captive breeding? I wish the company posting would give us some info on where they came from?

i think the chances of finding a wc snow anything are almost zero...especially a large one...it would have gotten eaten long ago..

DavidKendrick Feb 06, 2005 12:54 AM

Did you see the one for sale in the classifieds? Its pretty white, with faint yellow, and a few black specks, almost like a parodox???? The burm has some size to it, the add didn't say if it was wild caught, or just a high white albino burm. Never seen an albino burm that white before.

check this out http://www.crocodilehunter.com/australia_zoo/index.html
I think the white burm with black speckles is called a calico

jasonmattes Feb 06, 2005 01:31 AM

ok..that link didnt work right.
open the think and then click on amazing animals on the left side of the screen. then click on non-venomous snakes...scroll down and you'll see a nice burm

Corbin Feb 06, 2005 11:17 AM

Yeah that is one nice looking burm, its very unique.

The spider burm looks like a green X labyrinth. Since both are pattern traits it could me a mix.

Last I heard, Lawson was in Federal prison. I can tell you from first hand knowledge, the snakes you've seen are legitimate and are not, in any way, associated with Lawson. Any questions about them should be directed to GCReptiles@comcast.net, which was posted on their ads.
