Does anyone know of some of the best vet schools for reptiles and birds? Im looking into Auburn, Cornell, Purdue, or U. of Miami FL. Anywhere else? Anything I should look for or work for here?

Thanks!

Don't forget about UPenn. They don't have a huge exotics program, but they have some of the best exotics vets.

Purdue's got a great vet school (I got my tech degree there) but not much on exotics. The only time we really got to deal with them is when a client brought one in (very rare) or in the one exotics class that's given.

David,

None of them teach very much about exotics, especially reptiles. They do make info on conferences like I.C.E and ARAV available to students abd many students elect to intern with a herp vet after graduation to further thier knowledge if they want to specialize in a certain field or species.

University of Florida in Gainesville does teach an additional course in Reptile Medicine and Surgery, using Mader's book and taught by Dr Elliot Jacobson.
