Do boas shed more easily (thicker skin) as adults?

Seems like when my boa was a neo, there was more problems with broken sheds and retained tail caps. Now that she's an adult, I just mist the cage 3 or 4 days during a shed week and no problem-one piece sheds everytime. Now, when she was a neo, she was in a glass aquarium w/screened lid, but I blanketed the top and misted the heck out of her cage during a shed, even did the soaked rag thing under the heat. is it the cage difference or an age/size difference?

Probably the cage. Although I have noticed my best shedder is my adult anery male. I even had one I turned right side out.
