How do I use immersion oil for my microscope?

wolfcharmer Feb 05, 2005 07:36 PM

I recently got a new microscope and this one has an oil immersion 100X objective. The problem is that I don't know how to use the oil. If anyone could educate me about it or point me to an informative website I'd be greatly appreciative. Also, what is a good way to remove/clean up the oil from the objective?
Thank you
Jessica

Take care of that 100X, it's a fine peice of equipment but sure sucks if it's all messed up Lens cleaner can probably be purchased from the same place you got your scope, use it everytime you use oilimmersion.
