Alright, well, he seems to have come a long way, he doesn't go after my hand at all, whether I have food or not. I managed to do this when I was cleaning out his enclosure, before removing him I made sure he was well fed so he wouldn't be hungry anymore, after awhile of trying, I finaly managed to get him out of his enclosure and into a bucket of water for him to soak in while I cleaned out the enclosure and changed the substrates held him for a few minutes wrapped in a towel to let him dry off then put him back into his enclosure, I left him alone for a few days, asside from hand feeding veggies, which I always do. Except now the problem is that he'll allow me to get my hand close to him, except when I do, unless I have food he gets all alert and if I try to actualy handle him he runs off to the other end of the enclosure, sometimes there a little bit of beard display (VERY little though) and even a bit of mouth opening, but neither beard display nor opening of the mouth last for more than a couple seconds, he then calms down. Thing is though, he'll allow me to hand feed him, and sometimes gently rub him under his chin (going with the scales of course), but it's when I try to handle him that he runs off. I do what everyone's said to do, don't approach him from above, always approach him from the front, don't "pick" him up, but more slide your hand under him starting from his front making your way to the back and scoop him up supporting all his limbs, etc. I've read to always turn every situation into a positive experience, so after I try to handle him and he's run away enough times for me to get the idea I always get a few veggies or a cricket or two and hand feed them to him and leave him. So yes, it seems to be improving, but if anyone has any suggestions on what I could maybe try at this point would be appreciated.
