I was given a year old female patternless today, she is on the small side and has had a few bad sheds, most of her toes are gone or in the procces of falling off.I just got her home and soaked the rest of the skin from her toes. While I was removing the skin I noticed that her toes are rubbery and she kinda holds her front legs funny. Her leg and jaw bones don't feel
rubbery but I'm worried about MBD.She was kept on sand with no humid hide or calcium since she was a baby.Is it ok to give her straight calcium for a few days? She hasn't been held before so she will open her mouth if I pick her up,I went ahead and gave her about 1/8 teaspoon calcium and she swallowed it straight down.I will make sure her food gets plent of calcium too.Is there anything else I can do for her besides a vet? There are no vets around here who will see reptiles. Thanks for any help.
