Good question. But first, a clarification...

First, you are thinking of breeding 2 hets, not a het to an albino.

Second, you are misunderstanding genetic probability, and doing so in a way that thousands of other folks have done (so don't feel bad).

When you breed two hets, you do not get 1 albino, 1 normal, and 2 hets. You can't apply probability in this way. You could get 8 eggs, and have 8 albinos, 8 normals, or anything in between.

What you can say is this....if you breed two hets, EACH EGG has a 25% chance of being albino, a 25% chance of being normal, and a 50% chance of being a het...

Do you see the subtle difference? SOOOO many people go by the 1 albino, 2 hets, and 1 normal thought process, but that is simply wrong. I have heard of het to het breedings resulting in 0/9 albinos, as well as 5/6, and of course anthing in between.

So, apply your thought process as percentage chacnes for each egg, and have fun.

Now, to answer you question....the normal looking offspring from a het to het breeding can not be seperated as hets and normals....they all look exactly the same. Remember, from such a breeding each egg has a 25% chance of being normal and a 50% chance of being a het. This is where the term 66% het comes in....each normal looking baby has about a 66% chacne of being a het. Follow?

When you do breed and albino to a het as you suggest, EACH EGG has a 50% chance of being an albino, and a 50% chance of being a het. From this type of breeding, all normal looking offspring are definately 100% het albino.
