I use newspaper in my geckos tank,
but I would like to use sand in her tank instead of newspaper,
is it safe to use sand? or should I stick with the newspaper?
thanks

In all honesty..you probably don't really want to start another thread on this topic
If you look through the forum you'll find many threads on this subject..some are for, some are against..just read up on it before you make any decisions, it has the potential to cause serious problems for your leos, but than again, your leo could live a long and healthy life on sand if he's well cared for. Once you've read up on all the possibilities, and how to house them on sand, and what kind of sand..it seems to really be a matter of personal opinion and choice. Hope this helps
sand can cause impaction,I wouldn't recommend it but ultimatly the choice is yours. If you don't want to use newspaper then you can use ceramic tile, its cheap and looks very nice.I use tile that resembles tan stone,it also holds heat well. Here is a picture of my set up with the tile, not the best pictures around but you get the idea.
