Want to make a mobile cage for exhibitions

CaptainHook2 Feb 06, 2005 11:56 AM

It seems we're always taking the snakes to the kids school or other such places and we have nothing to house them in. Has anyone ever made a mobile, lightweight, compact cage that will at least hold heat and allow for viewing? Just an idea I'm kicking around.

short of having a 12v heating system or a 120v power supply nothing much to do with heating for the trips to and from , if you are thinking of something that you could go from point A to Point B with and heat on both ends ?
and have as a viewable display on the point B end ?

I would say go with a all acylic setup somwhat light , viewable and a simple UTH would supply heat on a table and ample room to view from all sides .

Something to use to keep it in untill its out and not to worriedabout the walking in and looking at on a table id say a large rubber maid with a UTH on it just for functionaility not looks would work .

if you wanted to you could run it off of battery power dont know how relible it is but they last for 30-45 minutes and are enought to power 2 computers and a phone and u can get them at best buy as well as most tech stores but as for the cage a vision would probly be your best bet or something like it

Thanx for the help. Don't really need heat for on the way, just once in place. Someone mentioned attaching flexwatt with foil tape in my previous post. I could probably finagle that. As for the acrylic cage, what do I use to adhere the pieces togther and where do I get acrylic? I know it's been mentioned before but I'm tired and don't feel good so if someone would give the info just one more time I greatly appreciate it.
