Dying snake?

amhassell89 Feb 06, 2005 01:16 PM

My ball python regurgitated his half digested mouse a few days ago, and thats when i started to worry. It shed about the same time. Today, it is sprawling around and is looking almost as if its dead. it is limp but i can still see it breathing, i tried to have it drink water because i thought it was possibly dehydrated. I checked in its mouth and everything looks fine, its airway is open and nothing is obstructing its esophagus. its jaw does look uneven though. And another thing, its back looks red and wrinkled. i dont know whats wrong with it, i searched all over the internet. so if anyone has any advice for me or a diagnosis. i would greatly appreciate it. i love my python.

If you think your snake is dying please take him to a vet, don't post a message on a snake forum and wait for a reply. If he was a child or a dog or a little fluffy cat, you'd have already taken him to see a doctor, why do you hesitate with a snake to do the same?
