Outer Banks Kingsnake

Keith Hillson Feb 06, 2005 01:59 PM

Will Still sent me a pic of a male OBK he is sending me soon. I think its quite a beauty. He is a 2004 hatch and is from Bartlett Stock animals. The pair Will has were a pair of Carls future breeders I sold him (2 years ago I sold all of Carl Bartlett's breeders for him). Wills breeder female is unrelated to all other stocks out there including Bartlett's own. The male is a super high speckled animal from Bartlett's unbelievably speckled stock. I had a fantastic pair of OBK's before but like a fool I sold them to Bob Johnson of Reptile Artistry so it will be nice to get back into them.

I will hopefully pair him up with a female from Howie Sherman's stock as he has some incredible beautiful animals as well. Now to talk Howiw out of his most beautiful female he produces in 2005 lol !

Sweet snake Keith!!! I haven't done much reserch into these guys before and was wondering if what I think I know is true. So, do these guys usually get huge (around 6ft) and they are protected now right. No new blood coming in? Also do all babies show some spectling or are some solid in the black as babies.
Thanks Jason

No they dont get huge. They are pretty average as far as size goes 3-5'. I dont doubt there could be some that get to 6' but I think that would be an exceptional one. They are protected and as far as new blood I couldnt say thats just what Carl told me. He said it was unrelated to his stock and all others out there. Hey that pic you have in your kingsnake phot album of that male is that the father to the pair I have from you ?
He is pretty nice looking.

Keith

I have to say Keith, the more I see and hear about those OBK's the more I like. I was looking at the photo gallery and those are some beautiful snakes.
