In the wild, I have seen the two species living on the same tree. I think they coexist the same as they would with their own species. Males will fight with males if they feel threatened. I'm sure they have crossbred in the wild considering they share the same territory but I doubt it's common (I have never seen any little mixed babies running around).

I've heard claims that people have had carolinensis/sagrei hybrid babies that lived breifly.

I'n not sure I beleive it. They will certainly mate with one another, but I don't think they are genetically close enough to hybridize.

Other species of anoles can and do hybridize...
