How MUCH ROOM for bearded lovers

ISH May 16, 2003 01:22 AM

I have a 50 gallon tank condo with a 15 gallon upstairs for my 2 bearded dragons to live in and breed. Is this enough room for them to get it on or should I let them out to roam in a bigger area? I have seen them court but I haven't seen them with his tail under hers. Of course I don't know if it hasn't happened but it would be nice to know if the two of them have been successful at fertilization. They are both over a year old but it is their first time so is there a greater risk of no success? Plus could it be that she is unresponsive and won't let him do what nature calls? I kept them seperated until I was ready to breed them. So now what? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I don't think that's enough room. I would get a 75 gallon tank for housing together, and I would seperate them for part of the year.
