Is this ok?

GunsNRoses1083 Feb 06, 2005 10:09 PM

I have 2 new Geckos that I got. I have them in a 20 gallon long tank with a peice of driftwood(acts as a basking place), a warm and cool hiding place, An under tank heater and a 60 Watt in the day and a 50 Watt in the night. My questions are...

1) Is there too much heat? I have the lamp right over the hiding place with the UTH.

2)If I wanted to add live plants, could I?

3)Do they need UV lighting

Thanks,
Dom

1. probably. get a thermometer and check temps

2. sure, but no sprays

3. debatable. UVA is generally agreed good. UVB is highly debated here. I use it w/o problems. Probably not necesary if your are using supplements appropriately.
