Corn always in humid hide?

AlteredMind99 Feb 07, 2005 09:46 AM

I recently added a humid hide to my cornsnakes enclosure, this particular snake has always had a hard time shedding, and its very hard to keep hydrated, and in both those departments the humid hide works greast. The only thing i'm worried about is the fact that she stays in it 24/7, is the constant exposure to moisture bad for her skin?

One way to avoid problems is to let the humid hide dry out gradually for a few days before moistening again. This way, the snake is not in contact with moisture 100% of the time.

BTW, many colubrids love humid hides. Don't remove it, just don't let it be humid 100% of the time.
