Problem with Colombian Boa

Ryuen05 Feb 07, 2005 06:48 PM

I have a young Colombian Boa which since I got it a couple of weeks ago, it has been eating prekilled hopper mice with no problem. Last week when I fed, it ate with no problem but then regurgitated it two days later. I figured it was perhaps stressed or something so I didn't worry too much. A couple of days ago I tried to feed it again. I held the mouse to its face and it struck at it but not to eat. It seemed as if it was trying to defend itself because it was an attack strike rather than a eating strike. It then starting hissing for a couple of minutes until I left it alone in the paper bag for a little while. Then I tried again an hour later and it had the same reaction. Does anyone know whats wrong with my Boa?

You have to wait a while to feed it after it regurged. Check out the post just a few posts down. The same situation was just answered in detail.
