I don't like to use the typical 28/32 qt. sweater boxes for 4-5 ratsnakes. The floor is only 20"x14", meaning a perimeter of 68" and a diagonal of 24". I prefer more for a typical 4-5' ratsnake.

I assume you're okay with the typical 5" to 6" height of most boxes so I'd recommend the Iris CB-70 tub.

You can get them from reptiletubs.com

The box I like for snakes in this size range is the Sterlite Wreath Box, which is square and is 28 x 28 x 8 inches. They are seasonal and can be harder to find, but I bought all of mine at a dollar general store for about $5 each. Heck of a deal!

The only problems with this box are
- it is hard to build a good rack for because 28 inches is wider than the average door frame, so you have to be able to dissemble the rack to get it into and out of a room
and
- they require a sturdy rack as they can flex a bit in a flimsy one.

But if you put together a good sturdy rack, they are great, large, sturdy boxes for big ratsnakes! I really liked mine when I used them (in my pre-Freedom Breeder days).

And I believe I was the one who originally you look for it...

At any rate, I agree that it would be a very nice ratsnake box. If I remember correctly it's 8" high so in theory one could provide a small amount of climbing space for species inclined to use it.
